Coco di Mama Kitchens - Bristol
Welcome to the world of Coco di Mama Kitchens - Bristol, located at 29 Princess Victoria St, Bristol. This eatery promises a vibrant culinary experience, leaning towards Italian-inspired comfort food. However, recent feedback suggests that the journey through their menu has been a bit rocky. Let’s dive deeper into what this café offers and what diners can expect.
For patrons seeking a cozy yet lively atmosphere to enjoy delightful meals, Coco di Mama Kitchens could once have been considered a go-to! However, recent reviews indicate a notable decline in consistency and quality. Customers like Rachel A have expressed their disappointment with the carbonara, citing an insufficient amount of ham and a curdled cheese sauce that failed to deliver the desired creamy richness. The issue of cost-cutting measures was also raised, hinting at a troubling trend that might leave diners unsatisfied.
- Gorgonzola Pasta Pot: Another customer, preferring to remain anonymous, expressed discontent with the gorgonzola dish, criticizing its overly lemony flavor and lack of depth. This reflects a worrying trend of poorly conceptualized dishes that do not meet expectations.
- Flavourless Arancini: The hope of rescuing a disappointing meal with arancini turned out to be futile, described as resembling "cardboard." This indicates a need for the kitchen to re-evaluate their recipe creations and flavor profiles.
- Order Mismanagement: Jayde Thomas faced recurring issues with incorrect orders. Initially inclined to give the café a second chance due to reasonable food quality, this experience illustrates a serious operational flaw and raises questions about the staff's capability to manage orders correctly.
Surrounded by Bristol’s vibrant cultural scene, Coco di Mama Kitchens still has the potential to thrive. With its charming location and a fresh approach to comfort food, it could once again become a cherished spot for local food enthusiasts. Yet, it's crucial that management pays heed to the diners' insights and revamps their culinary offerings. If they can restore quality and attention to detail, Coco di Mama could emerge as a beloved establishment in the Bristol food landscape once more.

Just had the most vile carbonara I've ever tasted. There were about two specks of 'ham' in it, and the sauce was so watered down that it essentially consisted of water with some curdled cheese floating in it. This place used to do great comfort food but there's clearly been some appalling cost cutting measures in recent times. I'll never order from this place again, an affront to everything that is holy in Italian cuisine.

was looking forward to trying something new but was so disappointed. i ordered the gorgonzola pasta pot which was simply boiled pasta with a thin layer of sauce on top. the sauce itself was basically all lemon for some reason? with a faint pukey aftertaste, literally so grim. i thought the arancini would save the meal but it was so flavourless it felt like eating cardboard. this restaurant has no redeeming qualities and for the price i would have at least hoped for some effort. don’t waste your time or money mcdonald’s is better than this.

This is the second time I have ordered from here. The first time out order was wrong but I was inclined to order again because the food in itself wasn't bad. I now regret this, after ordering for a second time our entire order was wrong again! Apart from the order being wrong the worst part was that / of my pot was plain pasta witch seems a bit steep for over £, for example i ordered sundired tomatoes, olives, chicken and basil and i only received two tomatoes and two pieces of chicken.. won't be ordering again :(
